November 17: Distribution of collected items at Glenview Elementary
We will be collecting gently-used fall/winter clothing, outerwear, shoes and books for students at Glenview Elementary School in Nashville. Please bring your donations to the KES morning car rider line.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Volunteer here for Glenview. We need your help, and it’s a fun activity to do with your student!

1. Collect and Sort Donations: Join us in the mornings (all ages welcome).

2. Load the U-Haul on November 16: We’ll load donations into a U-Haul to be transported to Glenview Elementary.

3. Distribution Day on November 17 (for 3rd-5th graders only):  We’ll distribute the donations to students at Glenview. To attend this day, you must volunteer twice during morning collections or the afternoon load-in. This day counts as an excused absence for students who have not already used the allotted 5 for this semester. Parents/guardians will provide transportation and must remain with their student for the entirety of the day.

Children's items we are collecting -- Sizes 2T through 18:

• Fall/winter Clothing: Pants, sweaters, long sleeve shirts, dresses, pjs (Donated small adult clothing must be appropriate for children)

• Outerwear: coats, jackets, vests

• Fall/winter Shoes: winter boots, rain boots, sneakers, dress shoes (no sandals)

• Fall/winter Accessories (beanies, hats, belts, water bottles, backpacks, jewelry, scrunchies, etc)

• Children's books

• Please do not donate toys, used socks, anything with holes/stains, or spring/summer clothing. We will have another drive in the spring to collect those items!

A little background: Glenview Elementary is a local Nashville school that Kenrose supports twice a year by collecting children's clothing, shoes and books. We then distribute the donations with student and parent volunteers at Glenview on Distribution Day, where Kenrose 3rd-5th grade students are accompanied by a parent/guardian to help guide Glenview students as they "shop" for their specific needs. We have been in partnership with Glenview for over 10 years and it is one of their favorite days of the year!
